What is HGH? You may associate it with Barry Bonds and him smashing home run records but what if we told it could benefit YOU (without having to inject it)?
What is HGH?
HGH or Human Growth Hormone is a naturally occurring substance in the body. It is produced in the pituitary gland and plays a critical role in the development of the human body, especially in the first twenty years.
Why Does it Matter?
Kids have high levels of HGH because they’re growing at rapid rates. These high levels are what helps them heal and bounce back faster than adults. As humans get older the levels of HGH that the body produces dwindles over time.
So How Can You Boost HGH Naturally?
Deep Sleep
The deep sleep phase of our sleep cycle the body produces a ton of HGH to help repair the body from wear and tear during the day. Making sure you are getting 7-9 hours of sleep each night will increase your chances of getting deep sleep and maximizing your HGH production.
Reduce Sugar Intake
When you eat sugar your body responds with a spike in insulin to help your body absorb the sugar you just ate. When insulin spikes, HGH levels tend to fall. To maximize HGH you want to reduce the amount of refined sugars and simple carbs that you eat, especially before bedtime!
Intermittent Fasting
When you’re fasting, your insulin levels are low because you’re not taking in any food or carbs. If you practice intermittent fasting your HGH levels will be higher for longer periods of the day.
Working Out
High intensity workouts like lifting weights, sprints, or interval training will boost HGH when the body needs to repair itself after a tough workout. Working out is also going to help boost muscle mass which is going to help with healthy aging as well!
